India burdened by never-ending political dynasties
Professional politicians and not true leaders in our country once they taste the power aspire for more and more power as it is the only job which has no age bar or required minimum educational qualifications.
Moreover this is one job which can be inherited and everyone feels that it is their family right to loot/rule , those who are nonagenarians and octogenarians still survive in our stale democracy.
Take for instance L K Advani who is 90-plus is still aspiring for primeministership and the wily ever sleeping Deve Gowda still hanging like a bat in politics and his only mission is to see his son retains chief minister ship and he is currently engaged in loading Karnataka with his grandsons who are contesting in ongoing elections .
Since there is no age to retire ,these and so many senile politicians are hanging on in political arena.
In the existing scenario Narendra Modi deserves a pat on his back took as he set a maximum age limit of 75. to politicians working in BJP, a law to that effect is the urgent need to clean the politics of old and uninspiring politicians who have no other interest in the nation building except taking care of their wards..
Apart from this evil ,there is a visible influence of dynastic politics or first families syndrome in almost all parties in India ,especially the Congress is the home to this menace .
for instance Rahul Gandhi despite being an unfit to lead the Congress is forced on the party and he is making a big mess speaking all nonsense in public meetings with unchecked freedom and in the process scoring countless self goals and he is remembered more as a weaver of lies and a web of stagnated ideas and he reduced himself as a clown in the otherwise serious political battle.
In almost all the states the political scene is filled with dynasts and no party is an exception to this rule. These two phenomena are contrary to democratic norms and hurts the politics greatly .
This trend blocks the career prospects of the other young competent leaders. A robust party structure is possible only if there is liberal infusion of the young blood .
The root cause for this phenomenon is the firm conviction among certain incorrigible senior unworthy leaders that they are indispensable to the politics of India. Until Indian democracy matures, it will have to put up with these pests.
