Let us retain India clean

Update: 2019-06-29 23:36 IST

At a literary meet in Ranchi some months ago, renowned author Ruskin Bond, said that India has become much cleaner after the adoption of Swachh Bharat Mission.

That the people in our villages, towns and cities have started showing a true sense of Cleanliness proves credibility to the great writers words.

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the dream project of PM Modi, which he launched a few months after becoming the PM in 2014 , has been appreciated all over the world and truly re-energized our commitment to cleanliness.

Even the World Bank and Bill Gates have lauded this mission . The campaign no doubt has created the necessary awareness among the masses toward cleanliness but yet, as Ruskin Bond said old habit die hard.

Most of us focus on cleanliness within us and our house and least bothered on the squalor found on the streets. Simply finding fault with the authorities will not work out.

It is in fact everyone's duty to commit themselves to make a big mission achieve its target.
