Let wisdom dawn on our netas

This refers to the edit 'Silent voters will decide country's fate' (May 20). The exit polls have great influence these days to decide the politicians' future.

But it would be interesting to see how analogous the Australian and Indian elections are, given that we too have seen the exit polls.

This has been a noxious campaign throughout taking it from one end to the other in which personalities were gulped down and the dead and gone too were not spared.

Citizens could not stomach the issues in which real people's issues were buried down under and rarely any reference was made to the nation building process.

Now that the contest is over, all of us have an accountability to respect the result.

Hope wisdom dawns on the triumphant and the vanquished. A new exertion must begin to work for the progress of the nation.
