Modi wants to decimate regional parties
This refers to "Battles lost, and won" (THI 25 May). While appreciating the verdict given by voters, they seem yet again fallen prey to Modi-Shah's rhetoric using armed forces, Pakistan, Nehru Gandhi family, money and media power to overshadow the failures to fullill the promises made in 2014.
We heard more about majority versus minority by use of Pakistan in almost every rally addressed by Modi and Shah. If Rahul who was given different name by the duo apart from Pappu, how come BJP had to spend so much to attack him and his family.
The EC and large section of media have failed to question the open violation of MCC and some unknown entity airing NaMo TV which has gone out of air soon after campaign was over.
Added to tho opposition has miserably failed to stand united to face BJP. Congress which is out power could not attract other parties on their fold was therfore forced to fight on its own as its state leaders did not want to give space nurtured by them.
I disagree with you that people have endorsed demonetisation, GST etc. Mod and Shah have pushed these issues vigorously in the background.
As for as AP, BJP is not Congress and Naidu was right in realising this. On the face it may look like BJP is more generous in give and take on seats.
But it is well planned policy to eliminate strong regional parties the way they have been doing in Bihar and other North Eastern parts. This is nothing but RSS BJP has been dreaming for over sixty years.
If people and media fail to see the gameplan we are bound to see a different India by the time BJP completes its second term.
While pressing the button for Modi, they have just heard his voice and not what are their plans for development.
