Private hospitals fleecing Covid patients
Recently, private hospitals and laboratories in Hyderabad have announced their daily medical fees for the coronavirus patients. These charges start with Rs 4,000 and reach up to Rs 9,000 for ICU with ventilator and isolation per day. These rates are spreading fear among people who are unable to afford these costly treatments. In this pandemic situation amidst lockdown, people are having an unstable income and these medical fees are raised to such a rate that a commoner cannot afford proper treatment for himself or his family if affected, so the government has to look into this for the betterment of the public.

AP under Jagan, an example of progress
Under the regime of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Andhra Pradesh is heading towards development by leaps and bounds in all sectors. Schemes like YSR Rythu Bharosa are helping farmers economically in their agricultural works. By establishing 147 Agricultural Research Centres, the government is extending a helping hand to the farmers in solving their agricultural problems. To eradicate the woes of water shortage for agriculture and other purposes, following a good neighbourhood diplomacy and discussing about interlinking of rivers with neighbouring States and giving assurance to complete Polavaram project by 2021, the government has proved that it is committed to its people. When it comes to govt schools, almost all schools got renovated and are providing children with nutritional food. In the present Covid-19 crisis also, the government authorities are striving every nerve in conducting tests and equipping hospitals with adequate infrastructure. On the whole, YS Jagan's ruling is an example for all round development.

Amit Shah's role in Covid-19 battle exemplary
By deciding to intervene and supervise steps needed to contain the pandemic in Delhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has rightly signalled the Centre's seriousness not to let the situation slip any further in the national capital. Time has come for politics to take a backseat. Perhaps, it was a prod from Prime Minister Narendra Modi that saw Shah holding back-to-back meetings with Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the weekend, followed by an all-party meeting on June 15 during which an assurance was given out that Covid-19 testing would be ramped up to 18,000 in the next few days. Shah has made it clear that the Centre and the Delhi government would have to work in tandem to make the country as well as the national capital "coronavirus-free". A meeting between Kejriwal and Amit Shah resulted in announcing a set of long-overdue steps to reassure the people of Delhi which are very much needed in times of this grim reality. One, the testing rate in the Capital will double in the next two days and triple in six days. Secondly, the Centre will provide 500 railway coaches, which will add another 8,000 beds to Delhi's health infrastructure. Lastly, there will be rigorous contact tracing in containment zones. The focus must now be on implementing the decisions. Shah can show his mettle. Delhi's battle against Covid-19 can be a standing example for times to come.
