Nyay Anyay

Update: 2019-03-29 23:43 IST

Congress President Rahul Gandhi again sprang a surprise the other day by announcing that the 'Nyay' scheme will remonetise what Prime Minister Narendra Modi demonetised.

Like a bolt from the blue, this statement has caught the BJP unawares giving pleasant surprises to millions of people who have been badly hit by the demonetisation.

Harping on his poll promises, Rahul asserted that his party's anti-poverty programme had thrown the BJP into total disarray. He further stated that 'Nyay' scheme has the twin objectives of giving money to the 20 percent poorest families in India and remonetising the economy 'damaged' by demonetisation.

In a poignant statement, Rahul painted a real picture of Modi and said that Modi had taken away from the farmers, small and medium businesses, unemployed youth, etc.

Rahul made it clear that the Congress party wants to return to India's deprived sections what Modiji has snatched from them if his party comes back to power.

With this announcement, Rahul Gandhi has really thrown down the gauntlet to the Prime Minister and how Modi would react with a much more attractive scheme than the Congress party's.

At any rate, in this election all other major political parties are forced to either announce some practical people-friendly schemes or else they will be forced to bite the dust at the hustings.
