Recent Pak peace moves
Close on the heels of the UN declaring Masood Azhar a global terrorist, Pakistan has issued an official order to freeze the assets of and impose a travel ban on Jaish-e Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar.
Thus, Pakistan has started acting in a positive way on terrorism which had embedded in the psyche of Pakistan ever since its inception.
It is also very heartening to learn that Azhar is also banned from selling or purchasing arms and ammunition. There are a lot of small-scale industries producing weaponry and this exposes Pakistan's gun-happy attitude.
However, the scenario has started changing and it is a welcome volte-face from the policy pursued for long by Pakistan and the change is happening now thanks to the present Prime Minister Imran Khan.
It may be pertinent to note that Pakistan obsessed with India as perceived existential threat has created terrorist groups to be a tool against India.
Now veering off the traditional path of foreign policy, Imran Khan has taken to delete this fear-syndrome from the mind of Pakistan as they knew it 'a self-imposed one' due to phobia about India.
When Pakistan stops rearing and nurturing the terrorist groups, the terrorism will die a natural death.
If Pakistan goes forward with its genuine desire to wipe out terrorism, India must give all the help to Pakistan. Let peace prevail in the middle Asia.
