Trouble in paradise

Trouble in paradise

The developments forcing nine Muslim ministers and two Governors to resign in Sri Lanka are dangerous to the social fabric of that island nation. The terrorist attacks on Easter Day this year at various places claiming more than two hundred and fifty lives in Sri Lanka are mainly aimed at causing a divide between religious groups.

The Sinhala hardliners have taken stand to give it a religious colour and started vilifying the governors without any evidence, which caused agony to other Muslim office bearers in the government. The government has failed as usually to contain the hatred. It would be the grand success for the extremists, as the developments occur according to their evil designs. The government and civil society should be awaken before it's too late.
