Virat Kohli, our best bet to win the World Cup

Update: 2019-04-20 22:51 IST

With more than ten years of international experience and his extraordinary figures in batting must have made Virat Kohli an impeccable player in present international cricket.

He is almost on top of the ladder when records are taken into consideration. And adding captaincy to this immensely talented player made the selection committee proud, as his winning record as a captain is pretty well.

But the ongoing criticism on Virat is going endless in spite of his remarkable stats. In my view, if we take it on a positive note, we all should consider as a learning lesson because any such failures we might face during the coming World Cup.

In the present IPL we can clearly make out the hard time of Virat Kohli. And this is also the right time for him to show his approach, attitude towards failure.

All the great captains like Dhoni, Ponting, Kapil Dev, Steve Waugh must have faced mighty blows during their tenure as captains.

So, facing failures and trying to get out of the shell or realise his mistakes as a captain, make necessary changes within himself is very important for Virat in the present situation which he is facing.

He should also consider this as a new challenge as anything might happens in the coming mega event with the big team. So, trying with new approaches, making good decisions in the bad times is very important and this is time for him to implement them.

One of the best positive aspects of Virat is that, his captaincy failures does not bring any big changes in his match winning innings. In the game of cricket many great captains have performed below their standards due to high pressure on their captaincy.

And that mighty pressure will apparently affect their batting performance. But that is not the case with Virat Kohli.

He is performing tremendously well irrespective of the failures as a captain and he is also a sole performer, match winner in many occasions. And this figures out the mental toughness of Virat.

We all hope that our team performs well in World Cup.
