6 kg gold jewellery seized by Market police

Bengaluru: Bengaluru City Market police on Friday night seized gold ornaments weighing 6 kg being transported without any bills. On a tip-off, City Market police team comprising Hanumantha and Ananda intercepted two persons near Doddapete Circle and recovered the jewellery worth Rs 3 crore.

According to a senior police official, Dalpat Singh of Mumbai and Vikas of Rajasthan have been detained and seized jewellery items included 65 necklaces, seven bangles and 150 grams of ole.

They were taking the gold ornaments belonging to SS Jewellers of Nagarathpet without legal documents.

A case has been registered by City Market police station.
