BBMP Has Handed Over The Garbage To The General Population

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has finally agreed to surrender over mechanism to residents after neglecting to efficaciously detect its garbage-collecting auto tippers utilising cutting-edge technology. In 2019, the city introduced a system that uses radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to monitor its number of auto tippers. Presently, two years later, it has been determined that roughly 46% of trash collection vehicles and 29% of compactor trucks could not be traced due to a variety of technological issues.

Harish Kumar, Special Commissioner, BBMP, stated that they intend to create a mobile app that would allow residents to track the auto tippers assigned to their area. This will improve the system's credibility and visibility.

Another official of the SWM stated that numerous residents have claimed that the vehicles are unreliable and do not arrive on time. Although having the technology to follow these auto tippers, we were unable to do so on a regular basis.
