Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Central Crime Branch police has arrested two drug peddlers and seized 1,000 Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) blots valued about Rs 50 lakh from them.

According to the police, the accused are identified as Rahul, 26 years and Darshan, 22 years, both residents of Banashankari Layout in the city.

The police added that these accused used to procure these LSD blots through the DarkNet from Poland.

"These may seem to be ordinary looking colour papers but they are highly intoxicating LSD strips," Bengaluru Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), Sandeep Patil said.

He added that the CCB Anti-Narcotics wing led by Police Inspector Virupaksha detected this drug procurement done through DarkNet.

In a related development the CCB police has again taken custody of computer programmer, Srikrishna aka Shreeki too in this connection.

The joint commissioner said that another accused Shreeki who was arrested in a drug case was also taken into police custody again for 13 days as in this case too he had helped these two accused procure drugs through the DarkNet.

It may be recalled that CCB police had arrested the 25-year-old computer programmer - Shreeki - last month in connections with drug procurement case in which Congress Dalit leader's son, Darshan too is arrested and the CCB had also arrested a police constable helping this gang.
