1 lakh reward for helping trace abductor
Hyderabad: The hunt for the kidnapper Ravishekhar, 47, who had abducted B Pharmacy student Soni, on Tuesday under Hayathnagar Police Station limits is still on the lookout by the Rachakonda Police. The teams which were formed to nab him and trace the victim are searching for them in three states including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
According to senior officials of Rachakonda Police, the accused was reportedly moving from one place to other in the car by changing the number plates. Police found that after abducting Soni, he moved towards Vijayawada and later, his movements were reportedly traced in Kurnool and Kadapa. As the accused was continuously moving by placing fake number plates to the car, identifying the movements of the kidnapper turned difficult to the police.
Meanwhile, the Hayathnagar Police on Sunday have announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for tracing out the abducted 21-year-old woman and also for providing information about the kidnapper. They said that the informer's name will be kept secret.
They have appealed the public to share the information of the kidnapper on mobile numbers -9490617161 (Hayathanagar Inspector), 9494721100 ( Rachakonda Police Control Room) and 9490617111 ( Rachakonda Police Commissionerate WhatsApp).
Earlier, the accused kidnapped Soni on the pretext of providing her a job. He introduced himself as a doctor and said his name was Sridhar Reddy. The victim's father Yadaiah, who runs a small hotel at Bonguluru, had lodged a complaint in Hayathnagar police station.
