16 touts held at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

Shamshabad: Shamshabad police conducted a cordon and search operation in Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) area early on Tuesday.

They targeted illegal touts, anti-social elements, illegal agents and illegal emigrants at the airport and searched the areas of international departures and arrivals, lodges, parking areas and bus stand areas.

During the operation the officials seized 12 cars and took 16 suspects into custody for indulging in illegal touting. The police also registered cases against 12 persons who were illegally operating cab services on the airport premises.

Shamshabad DC PPrakash Reddy said after completion of the enquiry appropriate action will be taken on them. The seized vehicles handed over to the Traffic department for further action.
