2 held for assaulting police on duty

Charminar: Charminar Traffic Inspector lodged a complaint at Saidabad police station against two miscreants who assaulted him while discharging his duties on Thursday at Champapet X Roads.

According to police, B Sai Eashwar Goud, Inspector of police, Charminar Traffic police station, lodged a complaint stating that on Thursday late night, while conducting Drink and Drive test at Champapet, two persons named Mohammed Parvez (23) and K Shyam (30), who were proceeding towards Champapet on a scooter in an inebriated state were intercepted and booked a DD case against the rider of motorcycle.

While the police were discharging their duties, the duo started abusing the Inspector and his staff and also attacked them. The police registered a case under section 353 r/w 34 IPC and took up investigation.
