20 labourers fall sick, hospitalised

Petbasheerabad: Tension prevailed in Gundlapochampally Municipality in Petbasheerabad Police Station limits on Monday, when about 20 labourers fell sick at a time. The police said that they were immediately rushed to a government hospital for treatment.

The labourers came from Orissa, West Bengal and Jharkhand to work in a construction company. The company constructed small shelters for them to live near a sewage filled lake due to which all of them got infected and fell sick. Police are further investigating.
