273 properties come in way of road expansion

Yousufguda: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) plans for road widening in Serilingampally Zone are getting delayed due to land acquisition. In all, 273 properties would be affected.

The three major roads in Yousufguda to be widened are: stretch from Boarbanda to Government High School, NRR Puram via Pelli darga; Yousufguda Checkpost to Sriram Nagar; and AG Colony to Nataraj Nagar. "Of the 273 affected properties, consent from 39 properties is to be received," said Veera Swamy, Town Planning Wing, GHMC.

Borabanda to Government High School at NRR Puram stretch has four government properties, 211 private properties and 3 wakf properties to be encroached. 57 properties are under land acquisition and 162 are under negotiation.

The Yousufguda Checkpost to Sriram Nagar stretch has two government properties and 46 private properties. In which 39 properties are under land acquisition and 9 are under negotiation.

AG Colony to Natraj Nagar stretch has only 6 private properties to be acquired and all the six land owners filed legal case against the government and the High court is yet to dispose the cases.
