2BHK houses will be completed: Talasani
Secunderabad Cantonment: Minister for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the double-bedroom houses in West Marredpally would be completed soon, after inspecting the work along with Cantonment MLA G Sayanna here on Monday.
Yadav made enquiries with local residents regarding the progress of the construction works. Addressing a gathering, the Minister said that justice would be done to all beneficiaries. He warned that the State government would not tolerate 'gundaism' against the beneficiaries.
He said that the beneficiaries should not be harmed by anti-social elements. Yadav recalled that hut dwellings built by the Housing Board in the past at the site were in poor condition. Hence the government was building two-bedroom houses for the benefit of the poor after the work was taken over by the Revenue department. The credit for providing houses for the poor should go to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the minister and the MLA stated, while conveying their greetings to the poor for getting two-bedroom houses in West Marredpally.
The minister suggested to the beneficiaries to form a committee to solve the problems of the local residents. He said if four or five families sought to approach a court, it should be brought to the notice of Revenue Department so that the problem could be solved.
The Minister said that 1,400 double-bedroom houses, the highest in the Cantonment constituency, were being built. The houses would be completed shortly and the pattas would handed over to the poor beneficiaries, he added.
