3-day Interventional Cardiology meet begins

Hyderabad: The three-day 'tct INDIA 2019' - India's premier Interventional Cardiology Conference - organised by FACTS Foundation - a non-profit organisation of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, committed to newer research, innovation, education and training, in association with Apollo Hospitals & Cardiovascular Research Foundation, was formally inaugurated by chief guest Dr Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Group; at HICC on Tuesday.

The conference is being attended by over 1,500 delegates from across the country and abroad. The live telecast of the latest techniques used in performing complicated procedures, from various leading cardiac centers across the country were being witnessed by all the delegates at HICC, Hyderabad. These proceedings were also live streamed and which was being witnessed by doctors in those respective centers, thereby multiplying the reach of the knowledge being imparted.

The conference deliberated and demonstrated through live workshops, the latest advances in Interventional cardiology, including Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), Pharmacology for Interventionists, Antiplatelet therapy, Evolution of Drug Eluting Stents, How FFR and IVUS/OCT optimize patient outcomes, MitraClip, Transseptal Technique etc.

'PALAMUR BIO FACTS Vascular Academy,' a state-of-the-art facility for the preclinical studies and training young interventional cardiologists with latest cutting-edge technology like IVUS, OCT and development of new therapies was also showcased during the conference.
