- Elections are scheduled to be held in January 2020
- Total number of voters in 8 civilian wards is 1,63,489
"The final voters list is displayed in all the five circle offices of SCB and residents can visit the circle offices to check their name or they can check the list on SCB's online portal. If anybody's name is missing, they can enroll it within 15 days," said SVR Chandrasekhar, Chief Executive Officer, SCB.
Also, during elections, each polling station would accommodate only 15,000 people in one polling station, hence the SBC is planning to set new polling stations for the smooth flow. The election would be conducted as per Cantonment Electoral 2007 Rules.
"We have deployed separate teams to check voter's details through door-to-door visits to avoid double entry. They would also visit houses to make any clarifications. Each voter from a family would get a username and password, allowing a person to upload all documents related to electoral registration. The EVP would remain in operation till October 15," according to the CEO.
