A disaster gamble

Panduranga Nagar: Every morning the residents of VasaviBrindavanam, an apartment complex located in Panduranga Nagar, are subjected to loud noises from the adjacent Bharat Gas Godown. But the noise is the least of the residents' concern.

Many are appalled by the handling of the gas cylinders by the personnel. The godown is surrounded on three sides by housing complexes and pose a threat to public safety.

In the pictures, one can clearly see how the personnel are disregarding the safety procedures by throwing and rolling the filled cylinders into the storage to get their work done quickly. Although the local residents have complained about relocating the godown but their requests have gone abegging.
