The ACB officials have so far arrested ten persons in the sheep scam. The officials have questioned the top officials by calling them for inquiries in their office at Banjara Hills for the last week, and on Friday they were arrested. So far, the ACB has arrested the agents, but now they have arrested the officials.

The sheep distribution scheme was worth Rs 6,000 crore, and the ACB officials have found that there was a scam of Rs 2.10 crore.

According to sources, the officials have inquired about the role of the officials, who increased the cost of the sheep, as well as the role of the middlemen.

The ACB is learnt to have prepared a report that the irregularities were done during the director’s tenure, when the officials helped the contractors. The money that should have gone to the sheep growers was sent into the benami account of the contractor named Moinuddin.

It may be mentioned here that the OSD of former minister Srinivas Yadav was caught red-handed while he was taking away the files immediately after the change of guard in the State. The accused, Moinuddin and Ikramuddin, are said to be absconding, and a lookout notice has already been issued by police.
