Adivasi Student Forum protests against detention of BJP MP Soyam Bapurao

Osmania University: Adivasi Student Forum (ASF) on Monday burnt the effigy of State government in front of Arts College for house arresting Adilabad BJP MP Soyam Bapurao.

Bapurao was supposed to attend felicitation ceremony organised by Nizamabad adivasi leaders. They blamed Minister Satyavathi Rathod for being a hurdle for Bapurao to attend the meeting.

They said the government can't stop adivasi agitation by arrests. ASF state convener S Papa Rao said adivasis would bounce back with double energy if the government tries to suppress them.

ASF state president Butta Venkateshwarlu, Lakshman, Gummadi Sudheer, Penuballi Chanti, Kalluri Suresh, Venkata Lakshmi, Praveen, Ramakrishna, Rajesh and others were present.
