Afghan delegates visit Geological Survey of India Training Institute campus
International delegates from Afghanistan paid a visit to the Geological Survey of India Training Institute (GSITI) here for exploring the training possibilities of Afghanistan professionals and academia in the field of geo-scientific studies and exploration.
The delegation included Kai-Uwe Steger, GIZ program manager, GIZ- Kabul, Afghanistan, Prof. Abdul Rashid Iqbal, Professor, Kabul Polytechnic University.
The visitors interacted with Ch Venkateswara Rao, Deputy Director General & Head Mission-V, GSITI, and his team. They enquired about different technical training programmes. The visiting team was apprised of the activities and the broad areas of training capabilities.
GSITI has been conducting training for international participants for a decade and as many as 67 international countries all over the world have already been benefited by the training imparted by GSITI.
After visiting all the technical divisions, laboratories, class rooms, hostel and other infrastructure facilities, the Afghanistan delegates highly expressed their satisfaction and keenness to send a large number of Afghanistan participants to GSITI for knowledge upgradation through theoretical and practical training.
