All Indian Human Rights Association wants woman to head Telangana State Divyanga Corporation

Tarnaka: All Indian Human Rights Association (AIHRA) State Admin Secretary P Ravi Kumar and secretary T Lavanya said a woman should be made chairperson for Telangana State Divyanga Corporation (TDC) chairperson.

The duo, speaking to the media on Sunday, said only men had been elected chairmen of the organization since its inception. They said Padmavathi who had received awards twice from the President of India should be appointed the chairperson.

They maintained that she was the suitable person as she had been actively taking part in various service activities and was vocal on the issues of the specially challenged. Jannu Raju, Koneti Venkanna, Mahaboob Ali, Vadlakonda Lingaiah, Yakamma, Srinivas and others were present.
