Alwal Lake stinks as garbage piles up

Alwal: The Alwal Lake, which is close to the Bolarum railway track, was once a popular picnic spot, but today the lake stinks as the garbage thrown by the residents choked the lake.

K Aditya, a resident, said, "People dump garbage here it gets overloaded, as the GHMC workers collect waste only once in a week. There is only one dumping bin at the lake side."
