Appreciable rise in night temperatures

Hyderabad: The night temperatures recorded an appreciable rise ranging from 2.1 to 4 degrees Celsius in some parts of the State during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Thursday, caused by mainly low level easterlies/south-easterlies prevailing.

The IMD bulletin said the temperatures were appreciably above normal by 3.1 to 5 degrees Celsius at one or two places. They were below normal by -1.6 to -3 degrees Celsius in some parts. According to the bulletin, the lowest minimum temperature of 12.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Medak((point 7 more than the previous day). In Hyderabad it was 14.5( also up by point 7).

The forecast stated that the minimum temperatures during the period December 11 and 16 would be 14, 14, 15,15, 15 and 15 respectively. The outlook would be partly cloudy sky with haze. According to the bulletin, the other nigh temperatures recorded elsewhere in the State were: Adilabad 13.4, Bhadrachalam 14.4, Dundigal 14.6, Ramagundam 14.8, Hakimpet 15.6, Hanamkonda 16, Nalgonda 17, Nizamabad 17.3, Khammam 17.4, Mahbubnagar 17.7.
