Arekapudi lays stone for several development works

Allwyn Colony: Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, local Corporator Dodla Venkatesh Goud and GHMC officials on Tuesday laid foundation for several development works in some colonies of the division costing over Rs1.63 crore.

The works include re-construction of underground drainage pipeline in Dharaninagar (Rs 15 lakh); laying of RCC 450 mm drainage pipeline from the colony community hall to Yellammabanda main road in Janmabhumi Colony (Rs 20 lakh) as also from Ambedkarnagar community hall to PJR Nagar (Rs 15 lakh), re-construction of UGD pipeline in Mahatma Gandhi Nagar (Rs 19.94 lakh), laying of VDCC road near Shilpa Brundavanam (Rs 20 lakh); laying of UGD pipeline adjacent to Yellammabanda government school (Rs 9 lakh), laying of VDCC road from Shilpa Brundavanam Villa 37 to 92 (Rs 19.9 lakh); RCC NP3 600 mm work in Kakatiyanagar (Rs 20 lakh) and UGD pipeline in Kamalamma Basti (Rs10 lakh).

Addressing the gathering, Gandhi said the division was being developed in a phased manner. Among those present were DE Krishna, AE Subash, Works Inspectors Mahadev, Brahmam, Ward Members Kashinath Yadav, Lakshmamma, Area Committee Members Ramulu Goud, Shoukath Ali, Munna, Shilpa Brundavanam Association president Ranga Rao, secretary Ravindra and treasurer Murthy.
