Arrangements for vote counting reviewed

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner & District Election Officer Dana Kishore on Tuesday inspected the arrangements being made for counting of votes scheduled to be held on May 23, at Begum Bazar godown. The locks of the godown were opened by Additional Commissioners Advaitha Kumar Singh, Sandeep Jha and the representatives of different political parties.

Speaking on the occasion, Dana Kishore asked the officials not to open the EVMs stores at the godown belonging to Jubilee Hills, Gosha Mahal, Khairatabad, Secunderabad and Nampally Assembly segments as cases were pending in the court related to the Assembly elections. He said they were taking all steps to store the EVMs of Lok Sabha elections at the same elections. He said they had made arrangements to keep the EVMs in indivisible rooms.
