Arrangements in place for vote counting

Patancheru: Officials have completed all arrangements RRS Engineering College, here, for the counting of votes polled in the MPTC and MPTC elections in Patancheru, Ameenpur, Jinnaram, Gummadidala.

The counting of votes is to be taken up on Tuesday. Special barricades have been erected to enable the candidates and their agents to watch the counting process. Heavy security has been provided at the counting centre.

There are 19, 3, 8 and 10 MPTCs in Patancheru, Ameenpur, Jinnaram and Gummadidala respectively. Two tables have been arranged for each MPTC seat. Each table is to be manned by three counting staff and a superviser.

The candidates and the counting agents have been issued passes. Patancheru DSP Rajeswar Rao, CI Naresh, MPDO Anant Reddy on Monday inspected the counting arrangements. Reddy told press persons that the counting of votes polled in the MPTC elections would be taken up first, followed by those for ZPTCs.
