Back-breaking roads in Malkajgiri

Malkajgiri: Bad roads and sewage water is creating a lot of trouble to the residents living in Vasanthalipuram Colony of Malkajgiri division. The drainage manholes are located at the center of the roads. They have been causing inconvenience to use the lane since the past one month. The locals are requesting the officials to clear the problem at the earliest.

M Shobha, a local resident, said, "A complaint has been lodged with the GHMC officials, in which the locals stated about the worst condition of roads and drainages. Based on the complaint, the officials took up the work, but stopped abruptly. Now, the state of roads and drainages are even worse than before.

P Suresh, a local resident, said, "GHMC officials came here to repair the roads and manholes. They totally dug up the roads and left them. No official came here to visit the progress of the work. It is creating a lot of trouble to walk, as the water has been stagnant over there and the seasonal diseases are high in city."
