Bakrid coordination meeting takes stock

Darusshifa : In view of upcoming Bakrid festival, a coordination meeting along with different department officials and Ulemas was organised at Salarjung museum on behalf of Hyderabad city police. They studied different kinds of arrangements including wastage clearance and security to ensure smooth conduct of the festival which will be celebrated on August 12.

Later briefing to media, the chief guest of the meeting, Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar appealed for public cooperation to ensure the festival passes off smoothly. He said that as part of security arrangements his department was leaving no stone unturned. As far as wastage clearance is concerned, special teams will be deployed to lift the animal wastage by the GHMC. "Hyderabad is the safest city in India and remains the favourite amongst other metros to attract foreign investment because of safety, security and maintenance of law & order in the city," he said.

Additional DGP Shikha Goel, Additional CP (L&O) D S Chowhan, Joint CP (SB) Tarun Joshi, south zone DCP Amber Kishore Jha, west zone DCP A R Srinivas, DCP-traffic K Babu Rao, Additional DCP-taskforce S Chaitanya Kumar and other police officers, and GHMC officials were present.

Among the Ulemas were Moulana Qubool Pasha Shuttari, Moulana Murtuza Pasha Quadri, Moulana Jaffer Pasha, Moulana Hafeez Muzaffar Hussain Bandanawazi, Moulana Abdul Mogni Mazahari.
