Balanagar road to be linked to IDPL road

Balanagar: Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao, local corporator Narendra Chary and GHMC officials inspected the Dilsukhnagar Road in Balanagar division.

Speaking later, Rao noted that the residents of Dilsukhanagar, who have been staying there for over last 40 years, were facing many hardships due to lack of link road to IDPL Road. He recalled that IDPL had rejected many proposals sent by the government for securing its land for the purpose.

Keeping this in view, the MLA stated, a decision was taken at a review meeting under the leadership of Mayor Bonthu Rammohan last week to acquire the required IDPL land by the government to lay the road.

Rao, after inspecting the road along with the GHMC Town Planning officials, directed them to prepare plans along with expenditure on land requirements. He assured the residents that the road would be completed soon, as promised by him before the Assembly elections.

Pattas handed over

Later, the MLA handed over the 2 BHK house pattas to 93 beneficiaries of Chittaramma Basti after conducting draw of lots. He assured the bachelor residents that houses would be allotted to them after marriage. Rao stated that a committee would be constituted to allot and run the shops attached to the houses. The revenue from the shops would be utilised for maintenance.

He assured to provide Swachh autos for the municipality to transpor garbage. The MLA stated that the JDC had just announced release of funds for drainage. He promised provision soon of power and water supply, while thanking Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and minister KTR for constructing 2 BHK houses for the poor. The MLA said KTR would hand over the houses to the beneficiaries on November 14.

RDO Madhusudhan praised Rao for arranging pattas to the beneficiaries after holding discussions with the minister, the Collector and officials. Among those present were JDC Mamatha, Narendra Chary, Sudhakar Reddy, beneficiaries and officials.
