'Basic amenities on top of my agenda': Prasanna Lakshmi

Addagutta (Division 142) corporator-elect Prasanna Lakshmi from TRS credits her victory to the support extended by the party and young leaders like Rameshwer Goud and Srinivas om the division. Expressing her enthusiasm to serve people and strive all-round development of her division, she says one of her priorities is to solve the never-ending drain overflow in internal lanes and colonies of Addagutta.

After touring the division, the 'People's Corporator,' as she would like to be known for work, said, "Locals in every area of the division are complaining about drainage overflow. So, it's the need of the hour to solve the issue. Apart from drains, a few locals are requesting for a community hall and small shelters to engage in their livelihoods. Masjid area also needs to be developed. Though only 20 per cent of Shanthinagar area comes under my division, still, I would like to attend to the issues there."

Lakshmi also promises completion of some new infrastructure development projects such as Rs 30-crore road under bridge (RuB), Rs 2.5 crore multipurpose function hall, and road extension works that are lined up in Addagutta. To ensure quality education to the needy, she would propose a library in the division near the Police Station Lane. Though there are no vacant government establishments to set up the library, the corporator-elect is planning to construct one more floor on the community hall and dedicate it to the purpose. Addagutta has no Basti Dawakhana yet. As such it is also in her plans. However, Addagutta residents are confident that Lakshmi will provide all the basic amenities.
