Better banking measures afoot: Canara Bank GM
Narayanguda: Canara Bank Hyderabad circle GM G Rajender Reddy said that the bank is known for its efficient services to its customers. He was speaking at a two-day meeting to review bank customer services, performance of various branches of bank and measures to be taken to strengthen the bank, which started on Saturday at the bank's Narayanguda circle office.
Rajender Reddy said that measures were being taken to improve the efficiency of its customer services even further. Based on the instructions from Department of Financial Services, meetings were being held to review performance of all the branches for the last five years.
After discussions with the staff at various levels, the bank had been focusing primarily on nine aspects, namely, spread of digital services, corporate governance, loans to small and medium scale industries, providing technical facilities at branches, retail lending, agricultural loans, financial assistance to exporters, establishment of financial grid, and improving financial status of the bank.
Key decisions to improve bank services would be taken after further discussions on core aspects, he said. Managers of all branches and higher officials of the bank would be made aware of key decisions, he said.
Opinions of investors and customers would also be taken to improve the efficiency of bank services even further, he said. Among those who participated in the review meeting were circle DGMs Venugopal, David Kujur, head of circle office P Ravi Verma, Krishna Mohan and others.
