BJP conducts drive on Triple Talaq, Art 370

Secunderabad: Telangana BJP Mahila Morcha conducted public awareness program, with a theme "One nation, One constitution,' here at Mahboob College on Monday. BJP Mahila Morcha national president Vijaya Rathnakar, BJP state president Dr K Lakshman and MLC Ramchander Rao attended the program.

The program was organized to create awareness among public about the importance of two recent bills passed in the Parliament: Abrogation of Article 370 and Triple Talaq Act.

Speaking on the occasion, Vijaya Rathnakar praised the central government led by the PM Narendra Modi for passing Triple Talaq bill. She said the bill was brought in view of the problems faced by Muslim woman with triple talaq practice. Speaking about Article 370, she said that Kashmir remained peaceful although many expressed fears that the move would result in anarchy. The bill gives rights to tribal and Dalits living in the state, she said.

State Mahila Morcha president Akula Vijay said that the passing of the abrogation of Article 370 bill in record 48 hours was a historic decision and credit should go to the prime minster Modi and home minister Amit Shaw. The sensational decisions taken by PM and home minister would take India on path of glory, she said. She exuded confidence that BJP would come to power in Telangana in the next two years. She predicted KT Rama Rao's defeat in the next assembly elections.
