BJP considers RTC strike on par with Telangana agitation
Kukatpally: State BJP president Dr L Laxman claimed here on Friday that the party's backing to the RTC employees' strike would resemble that witnessed during the separate Telangana agitation in which several parties, people's organisations and NGOs had participated.
Speaking after taking part in a huge bike rally, in support of the strike, from Ramachandrapuram BHEL Crossroads to Kukatpally, along with RTC JAC leaders, he stated that all sections of people, besides caste organisations, Uber and Ola drivers, workers, and employees, 'seeing with anger at the TRS government' were supporting the strike.
"This would result in a surge of the RTC struggle. The administration has already been paralysed giving doubts among people whether there is any government in the State," Dr Laxman said. He remarked that the situation in the State was pretty bad.
With the minister concerned not responding to the strike, Chief Minister was "playing with the lives of the people. The BJP would usher in a massive agitation like the one witnessed during the separatist struggle, warned Dr Laxman. Earlier, the BJP leader garlanded Dr B R Ambedkar's statue and led the rally.
Among the participants were former MLA Nandishwar Goud, ex-ZPTC Member Srikanth Goud, Baindla Kumar, Mahender, State, district and mandal-level party activists, besides State Executive Committee member Jnanendra Prasad.
