BJP demands talks to end TSRTC crisis

Serilingampally: On the 10th day of the strike, the RTC employees organised a 'vanta varpu' protest programme at the Miyapur depot. Later they paid tributes to the dead employees Srinivas Reddy and Surender Goud who had committed suicide in distress.

Addressing the employees, State BJP Executive Committee member Jnanendra Prasad called for talks between Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the employees on the 'just' demands to end the strike.

He sought immediate steps to prevent any more deaths of the RTC staffers, while recalling the employees' role in securing statehood for Telangana. Prasad said the government should initiated immediate action to solve the employees' problems. Among the BJP leaders present were Yadayya, Vinayak Reddy, Bhaskar, Jithender Reddy, Rajababu and Pandu.
