BJP leader Kantha Rao calls on Dr Lakshman
Punjagutta: Medchal-Malkajgiri district BJP president Madhavaram Kantha Rao met Dr K Lakshman, BJP state president who is on indefinite hunger strike protesting Inter fiasco, at NIMS hospital on Friday.
Dr K Lakshman was forcibly shifted to NIMS hospital by the state government and he has decided to continue his fast in the hospital. During his visit to the hospital, Kantha Rao enquired about the health of the fasting leader and expressed his support to him.
Speaking to media after the visit, Kantha Rao expressed his anguish at the suicides of several students dejected by their low marks they got due to the mistakes of Inter Board. He said BJP would stand by the parents of the students and provide possible help.
He said that their national president Amit Shaw too expressed his sorrow at the suicides and assured of all the possible help to the parents. Kantha Rao said that the party would continue their fight against the state government on the issue and stage hunger strikes in all the constituencies in the state.
