BJP MP slammed over remarks on quota row

L B Nagar: Representatives of the Lambadila Aikya Vedika (joint forum of Lambadas) met BJP president Dr Laxman in the party state office and demanded action against BJP MP Soyam Bapu Rao for his improper comments on reservations for Girijan Lambadas.

The forum leaders pointed out that the MP's comments were likely to cause a row between the Lambadas and the Girijan sub-castes, according to Lambadis Ikya Vedika Live State president Dr Raj Kumar. They called upon the MP to focus attention on the 'injustice' being done to Girijans in Telangana and to support the 12 per cent Girijan reservations.

Among those who called on Dr Laxman were Girijan Morcha president Amar Singh, Hussain Naik, Venkanna Naik, Mangya Naik, Jeevan Naik, Krishna Naik, Praveen Naik.
