BJP MPs to raise TSRTC issue in Parliament
Serilingampally: The MPs of BJP will raise in Parliament the 'illegal' arrest of the striking RTC employees and its problems, said State BJP executive committee member Jnanendra Prasad on Monday. He was addressing the RTC employees' 'Vanta-Varpu' protest programme and meeting under the chairmanship of JAC leader Emani Vinayak Reddy, near Miyapur depot on the 45th day of the strike.
Extending support to the employees, he asserted that despite Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's attempts to play spoil sport, the employees were boldly ensuring success of the strike and surprising the government, with the support extended by the BJP. "This revealed KCR's inefficiency," the BJP leader stated, while referring to the government directive to opposition MPs not to raise problems facing the State.
Prasad stated that the party MPs would definitely raise in Parliament the State situation in the context of the strike, the rude behavior of the police with MPs and illegal arrest of the RTC trade union leaders. There was a possibility of the MPs referring to 'uncertainty' despite KCR's assertion to the contrary. He pledged the party's support to the JAC's call for Tuesday's agitation as part of the strike.
Vinayak Reddy advised the employees not to get disheartened as the strike had reached the final stage, despite KCR's efforts to foil it. Among the RTC staff who took part in the programme were Bhaskar, Rajababu, Basha Goud, Somayya, Sridevi, Achyut Reddy, Rama Devi, Kalpana, Umapathi Reddy, Damodar, Ramesh, BJP leaders Manik Rao and Ramakrishna.
