BJP RTC JAC slams KCR

Hyderabad: While expressing solidarity with the striking RTC employees, leaders of PTL Workers' Union affiliated to CITU, Shankar and Krishna here on Saturday alleged that the KCR government was conspiring to privatise the RTC. They demanded immediate steps to be taken to solve the problems facing the RTC. The leaders were taken to the police station here and released some time.

Meanwhile, the BJP RTC Joint Action Committee members on Saturday took out a rally from BHEL depot to Ambedkar statue in the town. They garlanded the statue. The JAC leaders slammed the KCR government claiming that it was resembling the Nizam's rule. They blamed the government for the losses incurred by the RTC.

The JAC leaders said it was 'shameful' that the government was planning to privatise the public transport facility. They accused the government, which should manage the public transport, of playing with the lives of people and forgetting its responsibility in preventing the RTC losses.

The leaders pointed out that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's stand against the RTC trade union was like that of a 'dictator'. They demanded immediate holding of talks to end the strike.
