Hyderabad: It has been proved that the people of Telangana are against the ruling TRS and AIMIM parties and the power-packed performance of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) shattered the hopes of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his son and Municipal Minister KTR to retain power in the 2023 elections, BJP senior leader N V Subhash said on Friday.

Soon after the declaration of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) results on Friday, Mr Subhash said people of Hyderabad have rejected KCR and his family members to rule the state by reducing its strength in GHMC from 99 in 2016 to 56 in 2020, a drastic fall of 44 seats out of total 150 seats.

The ruling TRS has used all its energies to capture power in the corporation, but people, who vexed with the family ruling, dashed its dreams, he said and added that it was beginning for the fall of TRS and BJP leaders and the cadre have paved the way for victory in the next Assembly elections, he said.

The BJP leader further said astonishing and path-breaking performance shown by Telangana BJP leadership has sent a message to the people of Telangana that it was only the party which could serve people unbiased irrespective of caste, religion and region. Dubbaka by-poll gave the first shock to KCR and now the GHMC result was another jolt to the TRS government, he added.
