Bonhomie witnessed on Eid in Old City

Darulshifa: Bonhomie was witnessed amongst the leaders of different political parties in different parts of the Old City. Top party leaders were seen visiting the residences of Muslim leaders. On the other hand, some representatives of the ruling party were seen distributing 'Sheer Khorma,' a special sweet dish, to fellow citizens on the occasion.

To the surprise of BJP minority leader Mir Firasath Ali Baqri, Telangana BJP state president Dr K Laxman called on him at his residence. "It was altogether a pleasant experience on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr celebrations. He is such a friendly person and my family members had delightful interaction with him. I hope he also had a good time," said Firasath.

Firasath said that Dr Laxman had some good words for him on the occasion. He hoped that Eid would bring a lot of happiness in his life, Firasath recounted. Moulana Syed Shana Hyder Zaidi, Najaf Ali Shoukat, Santosh Kumar Agrawal, Advocate Akhli Eddendi, Pradeep Jaiswal, JJ Satyannrayana, Advocate Humayun Jafferi, Inderpal Singh and other senior BJP Leaders were also present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, TRS leaders were seen distributing Sheer Khorma to the people from different sections of the society by setting up a kiosk. TRS Charminar Mahilla Constituency President Razia Faiz was seen serving the special dish of Eid-ul-Fitr to fellow citizens, along with TRS leader Rayshree and others, near Salarjung Bridge.

Not far away from the location at Darulshifa, the senior Congress leader & State Rajiv Seva Samithi president, K Venkatesh, visited the residence of the party leader, Mohammed Ameer. He, along with other party leaders, gathered to greet him and later enjoyed the sweet dish. Speaking on the occasion, Venkatesh described Eid-ul-Fitr as a symbol of communal amity, bringing people together from different faiths into the brotherly bond.
