Bumpy ride on a slushy road

Miyapur: A slushy stretch of Miyapur-Bachupally road near Sai Anurag Colony is causing lot of inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians alike. It has become a herculean task for motorists to move around the area without falling in the slush or risk a fall in drains while negotiating their way around potholes. 

There is no end to chaos even after peak hours and the main roads are always chock-a-block. Moreover, the slow-moving traffic renders junction difficult cross for pedestrians because of the condition of the road.

Though the traffic police had earlier experimented with a seamless traffic movement in the town, residents were largely unhappy, as the arrangement did not provide alternate routes, as a result of which motorists had to take circuitous routes even to travel small distances.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Tuesday, Ravikanth, a daily commuter said, "The stretch is the most torturous one. A couple of accidents were reported in the last couple of weeks."
