Bus bay remains a far distant dream

Kompally: The commuters waiting for buses at Kompally Junction have to go rush all of a sudden or have to wait for hours in the scorching heat. Even the buses do not halt there as there is no proper bus bay and commuters are facing severe hardships. Many people travel from this area to various parts in the city toward Industrial Jeedimetla area, Gandimaissama.

R Sai, a commuter, said, "as there is no proper sign board for the bus stop and we, the hapless commuters, have to run behind the bus as in marathon, as the bus does not halt at the right place." He also said the bus stop is not visible as the bus bay stop structure design is not proper. "As a result, we have to stand in the hot sun."

M Krishna, another commuter, said the buses halt meters away after its designated stoppage point. "We are forced to run between the moving vehicles to board the bus, which is a risky affair."

Also the pavement is broken, has uneven slabs. The locals over here have complained to the authorities concerned but no one has so far bothered to monitor the situation to take appropriate action.
