Cadres outshine netas in campaign

LB Nagar: This election is unique in more ways than one. It is probably for the first time that activists and party workers are more active than leaders. Locals have already noticed the change. Mahipal, a resident of L B Nagar says, "I have been a witness to several elections but have never seen such a scenario. The leaders of parties are conspicuous by their absence."

Senior leaders were seen in an odd-road show, it is the activists who are taking the lead and are campaigning door-to-door for their candidate. Candidates started campaigning quite late and are depending on local area leaders. They started visiting corporators, party activists and leaders who are close to the people to support them in the elections.

Considerable time was lost, 15 days to be specific are lost in selection of candidate and nomination process. Each and every one has to campaign in at least 6 to 7 assembly constituencies. Among them Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency is in least condition. As this constituency is the biggest segment among all, candidates are working hard day and night.

Situation in LB Nagar constituency

Though there are 11 MLA's in the constituency, campaigning is dull. As there is no leader to show the directions to campaigning, party in-charge is also not active say locals. The MLA who made an announcement about his joining in the party is also not showing any interest. In the same manner Congress party, which had a strong contestant here is also not moving forward to attract voters. BJP cadre too is not active. As it stands, it is TRS versus Congress. All the three parties have done their first round of roadshows in this area. KTR has done it for TRS and Revanth Reddy for Congress.
