Speaking on the occasion, the speakers expressed anguish at the increasing suicides by youth on petty reasons, such as failure in exams, love failures and conflict with lovers or life partners.

Uday Kumar, a psychologist, expressing concern over increasing suicides among youth, said that lack of confidence and courage to face situations is the prime reason for the increase in suicides. He advised parents to motivate their children right from their childhood to share their thoughts and feelings with family and friends.

The habit will help them address their personal issues and face difficult situations, he said. Parents and teachers should carefully observe their behavior with friends and family members and understand their problems, he said. Other speakers also urged youth not to commit suicides, as they have bright future in their years ahead.

They advised youth to not to get disappointed by the failures, but to strive to overcome the obstacles in order to succeed. BJYM activist Naveen said the program was organized as many youths from Musheerabad have committed suicides in the last two months. He said that the nation needs youth and BJP and BJYM is ready to provide support to youth.
