Tarnaka: Dominic Marcotte, Director General, Quebec, Consulate General of Canada and Dnyaneshwari Talpade, Public Affairs, Culture and Education Advisor, Quebec Government Office in Mumbai called on Prof E Suresh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) on Thursday.
Prof Suresh Kumar, Dominic and Dnyaneshwari discussed the possibility of collaboration between the Universities in Canada and the EFL University. The partnership may include faculty exchange and technical support for MOOCs and other online programmes.
The future partnership will enable the EFLU to build a Co-Op model wherein the students take a semester off and receive paid corporate training, which would increase the employability of students.
The EFLU will explore the possibilities of collaboration with Universities in Quebec, especially with McGill University, University of Laval, Montreal University, and the University of Concordia.
