Children forced to clean classroom floor?

Chandrayangutta: The schoolchildren of Ayesha Islamic Mission High School were allegedly made to clean the premises. In a video which was widely shared by activists, girl students were seen washing their classroom floor.

MBT spokesman who viewed the video demanded that the government take necessary action against the management of the High School situated in Naseeb Nagar near Pool Bagh. "Please take necessary action against the management of the school, which is asking small children to work as labourers. It's very shame keeping Islamic name and doing unIslamic activities (sic)," he tweeted to the official handle of government.

Meanwhile, Achyuta Rao, the president of Balala Hakkula Sangham, described this as a shocking incident in the heart of the city under Chandrayangutta police station limits. "Balala Hakkula Sangham is demanding a case to be registered under Child Labour Prohibition Act apart from Juvenile Justice Care and Protection and Cruelty Against Children Act," he noted.
